A Shiatsu practitioner with over 20 years’ experience of healing therapies. These include Shiatsu, EFT and the Release Technique. I also studied Chetana Chakra Therapy with Dr Kurup in South India. I developed ‘The Breakthrough Programme’ which grew out of my interest in how we store negative patterns within ourselves.  I am also very committed in helping people overcome self-limiting tendancies and develop a more positive and expansive outlook on life.  I completed three years training in Shiatsu at the Shiatsu College in London and have completed a lot more training courses and workshops since then.

Treatments available in clinic in Leicester. Home visits available in Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Coventry and surrounding areas.

I am a Shiatsu Practitioner trained at the Northern School of Shiatsu. I am also a Reiki Master Practitioner and Crystal Therapist, and the creator of #ShiatsuShare & #ShiatsuHour.

As a nurse of 10 years, I understand the importance of an holistic approach to healthcare. I have had an interest in complementary and alternative medicine since childhood, when I experienced my first shiatsu treatment.

I have found reiki and crystal therapy compliment my shiatsu practice very well.

I have a particular interest in supporting people with long term conditions such a fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome. I am passionate about using shiatsu to improve quality of life, well being and overall health.I currently offer shiatsu therapy from the Shiatsu Chak, my home therapy clinic. This tranquil space offers some peace in a busy world.

A highly qualified Shiatsu practitioner based at Chipping Norton Health Centre. Trained with the Bristol School of Shiatsu and completed a 3-year diploma course.

I have been involved in complementary medicine for nearly 30 years. In the 1980’s I suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and it was the discovery of Five Element Acupuncture that put me on the road to recovery. This was the event that changed my life and my direction. After training in 5 Element Acupuncture I continued my education with Chinese Herbal Medicine, Shiatsu, Spiritual Healing, Shamanism and more. I was searching for the “missing link,” something that could integrate and make sense of the various therapies that I work with.

My wish is to provide a space for you to access your own unique connection and to enable you to contact your own sources of healing and empowerment

Also trained in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Emotional Therapy, Spiritual Healing, Reiki, Flower Essence Therapy, and a Qigong teacher. Currently undertaking training to become a yoga teacher and a Laser Teacher.

Registered with the Chinese Herbal Medicine association.

A very enthusiastic Shiatsu student in my final third year of training – due to Graduate from the Northern School of Shiatsu in spring 2019. Under the supervision of my school/teacher I am now looking to start to build my Shiatsu practice ready for when I graduate. My clinic is based in Matlock, Derbyshire but I can also offer home visits and a mobile service.  As a student I offer half-price treatments.

About me:- For 13 years I was a Buddhist and lived in Buddhist centres. This took me to the Himalayas and India and allowed me to carry out my love of walking, trekking and meditation. As a chef I also volunteered and cooked at many Buddhist events. I started off in life studying law and worked as a lawyer on death row in Texas.

When I am not studying and practising Shiatsu I can be found on a squash court, portrait painting, trekking or doing photography.

I now have an amazing new van so I can offer a mobile Shiatsu service.  Provided at companies, events, festivals, running events etc.

A dedicated graduate from the Northern School of Shiatsu. My clinic is based in Hull, Humberside.  I offer discounted treatments at just £10!

About me:- Yoga is my passion and I am a yoga teacher and practice yoga myself on a daily basis. I qualified as a Reiki Master/Teacher in 2003. Exercise is important to me, doing cardiovascular work, exercise at a gym, plus regular walking and jogging. I am a strong family member of the Quakers.

I am a very enthusiastic Shiatsu practitioner passionate about Shiatsu.  Graduate from the Northern School of Shiatsu. My clinic is based in Ripon, North Yorkshire but I can also offer home visits.

About me:- I am also a Sports, Massage and Beauty Therapist and have over 10 years experience. I was a Spa Supervisor at Swinton Park Hotel for 4 years and I have worked in numerous different salon environments. Since having my little boy 2 and a half years ago I have become a mobile therapist.

I enjoy spending my time with friends, partner and little boy visiting theme parks around England. I am always looking at new courses, learning new skills to increase my knowledge.

I am a Shiatsu practitioner with a clinic in Clapham Junction, London. I also work within a drug and alcohol abuse centre. For 5 years I volunteered weekly at Brent Mind.

Following a years introductory training in Shiatsu I went on to complete a 3-year course with the British School of Shiatsu. Since then, I have assisted teaching for 6 years continuously and carried out many other training courses – Shin Tai, extraordinary meridians, Shiatsu feet and face – to name a few.

I began my Shiatsu journey in 2015, enrolling on the Foundation Course with the Northern School of Shiatsu in Sheffield. I had received a single Shiatsu treatment from a friend who was completing the three-year Diploma and I was instantly intrigued. The treatment felt wonderful, and was different from anything I had experienced.

I was drawn to the process of self-development and self-healing that Shiatsu could offer me. I graduated from the Northern School in 2018 and therefore have over three years’ experience giving and receiving this restorative and unique form of therapy. From January to July 2018, I undertook a voluntary placement at the Well Women Centre in Wakefield, allowing women on a low income to access treatment they would not ordinarily be able to experience. In August 2018 I became the third Director of In Touch Massage and Holistic Therapies CIC, a social enterprise which aims to make holistic therapies accessible to everyone, including minority, socially excluded and low income groups.

I am constantly developing the practical and theoretical application of Shiatsu, and my knowledge, confidence and professionalism are growing at a remarkable speed. My professional background prior to discovering Shiatsu was very varied. I worked in the fields of publishing, communications, international relations, mental health, housing, advocacy, law and education.

I live in Morley in south Leeds and I have a two-year-old baby girl.

Shiatsu is a physical therapy that supports and strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself. It works on the whole person – not just with the physical body, but also with the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of being.

Shiatsu originated in Japan from traditional Chinese medicine, with influences from more recent Western therapies. Although Shiatsu means ‘finger pressure’ in Japanese, in practice a practitioner uses touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow. It is a deeply relaxing experience and regular treatments can alleviate stress and illness and maintain health and well-being.

I trained for 3 years at the Northern School of Shiatsu.

I have a degree in Complementary & Holistic Therapies and have been a qualified Shiatsu Practitioner for 12 years in private practice and with Derby Women’s Centre. Emanating from my work at the Women’s Centre was a desire to deepen my practice working with trauma so I undertook a PGdip in Person Centred & Experiential Psychotherapy.  I have a deeply held belief that therapies should be affordable for all. In response to this belief and passion I have set up Elephant Rooms, a ‘not for profit’ social enterprise venture in Draycott, Derbyshire specialising in the provision of a safe and tranquil environment for the promotion of community health and wellbeing.  The vision is:

To provide a diverse range of natural therapies, classes and workshops promoting health and wellbeing for the local community.
The objective is to provide something for everyone; a wide range of therapies and treatments across the spectrum focused on natural health and wellbeing.
